Prew Academy is a private, not-for-profit (501c3) founded in 1931. The school is a non-denominational, co-educational, college preparatory day school in Sarasota. The school's community is one of varied backgrounds and intellectual abilities.

With our small class sizes, a teacher:student ratio averages 8:1, we can provide individual instruction. This one-on-one attention allows advanced students the opportunity to follow honor-level courses, while others are provided extra assistance where and when needed.

Study skill courses are available on a one-to-one basis for all students for organization skills, additional work in areas of weakness, remediation, or preparation for college admissions test. Specific learning disabilities are addressed to allow students of varying abilities to progress within their own parameters.

Our school campus is set on 5 tranquil acres, lending itself to an environment of quiet study.

Our principal, Mary Eisenbise started teaching at Prew in the late 80's. She has has been with us for over 30 years!
